In the 5th minute, Igor Beliard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Pointe booed when Touche was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Manfredi didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerald Jourde in the 22nd minute of play forced Touche's goalkeeper Paul-Henri Émond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paul-Henri Émond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerald Jourde, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Touche's Paul-Henri Émond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerald Jourde in the 27th minute of play. Igor Beliard scored 1-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paul-Henri Émond, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Igor Beliard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paul-Henri Émond made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Igor Beliard sent off a good shot on target. Paul-Henri Émond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerald Jourde in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute of the match Malcom Leblay sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paul-Henri Émond skillfully saved the ball. If Igor Beliard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gerald Jourde came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Pointe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerald Jourde couldn't finish the play. Igor Beliard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerald Jourde's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paul-Henri Émond read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Lucien Mesnard made the kick off in the second half. Paul-Henri Émond didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gerald Jourde went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When Gerald Jourde came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Pointe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerald Jourde couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Touche's zone, Gerald Jourde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul-Henri Émond came out of the goal and Gerald Jourde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paul-Henri Émond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sylvain Auber, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Touche's Paul-Henri Émond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerald Jourde in the 74th minute of play. Lucien Mesnard hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the match, Touche's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Beliard came free, but Paul-Henri Émond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Touche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonin Gaultier to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Gerald Jourde managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pointe's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerald Jourde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul-Henri Émond breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gerald Jourde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
