Cédric Rolland was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 9 minutes into the game, Oscar Patoux was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dijon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maurepas the free kick. After a rather tough play, Dijon's Oscar Patoux got a free kick in the 9th minute. Dan Veber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Erwann Descours tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John-Paul Lhermitte hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Dijon's Gaston Chamayou broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Morgan Groleau charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Morgan Groleau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th match minute, Dijon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Morgan Groleau to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute Jérôme Chavet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwann Descours saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Dijon's Mathis Tache got a free kick in the 20th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Maurepas's Martin Janson tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Rayanne Mangot's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Cédric Rolland skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience was convinced that Bob Antonelli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cédric Rolland was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Bob Antonelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bob Antonelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maurepas's goalkeeper Cédric Rolland, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cédric Rolland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Antonelli in the 46th minute of the match. Rayanne Mangot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Cédric Rolland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bob Antonelli to strike the kick off in the second half. Maurepas's Jérôme Chavet got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Oscar Patoux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rayanne Mangot struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Cédric Rolland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dijon. In the 63rd minute, Jonathan Boehm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maurepas's goalkeeper Cédric Rolland, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 71 played minutes Maurepas got a freekick which was hit by John-Paul Lhermitte. 74 minutes into the match, Dijon's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Veber came free, but Erwann Descours reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rayanne Mangot might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cédric Rolland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rayanne Mangot ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Maurepas's Tanguy Pavie got a free kick in the 79th minute. Bob Antonelli took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cédric Rolland. Cédric Rolland dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 84 minutes into the match, Maurepas's goal looked a bit too open when Bob Antonelli came free, but Cédric Rolland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Mathis Tache had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cédric Rolland. Maurepas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathis Tache was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Maurepas players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dijon.
