Vince football club's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaétan Grand was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolphe Béquet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaétan Grand had several of the Riedisheim's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 10 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Rodolphe Béquet as he didn't even see the shot coming. 16 minutes into the game, Gaétan Grand recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rodolphe Béquet. Riedisheim's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ben Collas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 47th minute, one of Riedisheim:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Riedisheim. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Gaétan Grand made the kick off in the second half. Vince football club's Ben Collas got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaétan Grand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
