The coaching staff of Stockfeld protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Toufik Sachot had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 4th minute, one of Stockfeld:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stockfeld. 1-0 came through a penalty shot after 6 played minutes, when Crangeat:s Ramzi Schilling calmly waited for Stockfeld:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. 9 minutes into the game, Lorenzo Hue was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Crangeat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stockfeld the free kick. After 13 minutes, Vivien Gentric mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stockfeld and the Crangeat players grew even worse after the yellow card. Matthieu Roure recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mario Do had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 played minutes Crangeat got a freekick which was hit by Paul Bucher. After 31 minutes, Mamadou Herry mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crangeat and the Stockfeld players grew even worse after the yellow card. 32 minutes into the match, Stockfeld's Vivien Gentric broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. With a left leg Cédric Gendre saved Stockfeld from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Stockfeld's Eymeric Thizy got a free kick in the 41st minute.
