In the 4th match minute, Cangé was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmond Poncin to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gildas Charneau in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaétan Deniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 6 minutes into the match, Douai's goal looked a bit too open when Calvin Panis came free, but Marcel Delaforge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcel Delaforge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Fernandez in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute Calvin Panis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Delaforge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Gaétan Deniel managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Douai's Gildas Charneau fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Marcel Delaforge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calvin Panis in the 16th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the game, Cangé's Fabrice Lernould nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcel Delaforge made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Christophe Vahirua took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcel Delaforge. Marcel Delaforge dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Paul-Henri Corlay kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cangé's goalkeeper Gaétan Deniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ethan Pilon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gaétan Deniel came out and tried to block the shot, but Ethan Pilon slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gildas Charneau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcel Delaforge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christophe Vahirua, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 61st minute, Calvin Panis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcel Delaforge was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. In the 68th minute, Paul-Henri Corlay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patxi Braem took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcel Delaforge. Douai's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Marcel Delaforge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christophe Vahirua in the 70th minute of the match. Gaétan Deniel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 94 minutes into the match, Douai's goal looked a bit too open when Christophe Vahirua came free, but Marcel Delaforge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gildas Charneau in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaétan Deniel saved Cangé from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Cangé's zone, Bastien Bourdel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaétan Deniel came out of the goal and Bastien Bourdel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cangé had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
