Châteauvallon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sucker Punch the free kick. From a short distance, Sucker Punch's Eddy Ernst, in the 18th minute, tried to place the ball behind Clovis Géry, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. Châteauvallon's Hassan Élie got his second yellow card of the match in the 19th minute. The referee ordered Hassan Élie off the ground. The supporters of Sucker Punch booed when Châteauvallon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hassan Élie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eddy Ernst to make the kick off. Sam Guillin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dove Lepage in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sucker Punch's zone, Dove Lepage stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sam Guillin came out of the goal and Dove Lepage tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sam Guillin made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Dove Lepage sent off a good shot on target. The Sucker Punch fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Châteauvallon were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
