Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Merlin Molle started the match with the kick off. When Laurent Gauchet fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pomponne's protests and gave Laurent Gauchet a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th minute, Laurent Gauchet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FCBG Reserve! Pomponne's Bastien Benet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Merlin Molle in the 20th minute of play. Adrien Briand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabien Vinel in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Pomponne's goal looked a bit too open when Merlin Molle came free, but Bastien Benet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. William Bougault kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. If Ferdinand Boissier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Merlin Molle kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bastien Benet. That made the score 1-1 in the 48 minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for William Bougault to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, FCBG Reserve's Adrien Briand got control of the ball when Fabien Vinel tried to sneak it across the goal line. William Bougault fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrien Briand having to interfere. After 62 played minutes FCBG Reserve got a freekick which was hit by Raoul Métais. Jimmy Thorin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adrien Briand. FCBG Reserve's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 71st minute Ferdinand Boissier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bastien Benet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merlin Molle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Bastien Benet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Firmin Philippot's late challenge caught a Pomponne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Firmin Philippot helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes FCBG Reserve got a freekick which was hit by Firmin Philippot. Adrien Briand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabien Vinel's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Fabien Vinel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Pomponne's Jimmy Thorin got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 98th minute FCBG Reserve were awarded a corner. Raoul Métais went to the cornerflag to take it.
