In the 10th minute, Theophile Moricet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jocelyn Lerat was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to FC Versailles 78 getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Reda Moalic hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the match, Theophile Moricet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jocelyn Lerat. FC Versailles 78's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Theophile Moricet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Georges Bachelard charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Georges Bachelard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th minute, Georges Bachelard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the game, Junior Leaute cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Jocelyn Lerat was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jocelyn Lerat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theophile Moricet in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute Joe Jeune shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jocelyn Lerat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Versailles 78 defense, Theophile Moricet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jocelyn Lerat. The FC Versailles 78 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jocelyn Lerat should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Luynes's zone, Flavian Legay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolphe Mary came out of the goal and Flavian Legay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jocelyn Lerat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theophile Moricet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jocelyn Lerat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Junior Leaute in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flavian Legay was the one to do the kick off. Junior Leaute might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jocelyn Lerat. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Junior Leaute ran back to his position shaking his head. Jocelyn Lerat made an important save on a dangerous shot by Junior Leaute in the 58th minute. Flavian Legay took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodolphe Mary. Rodolphe Mary dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Jocelyn Lerat made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Junior Leaute sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the FC Versailles 78 defense, Junior Leaute kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jocelyn Lerat. The FC Versailles 78 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jocelyn Lerat should have stopped the shot. Omer Agier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodolphe Mary read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Felicien Gouret was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Luynes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Versailles 78 the free kick. The supporters of FC Versailles 78 booed when Luynes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felicien Gouret didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th match minute, FC Versailles 78 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronald Mauget to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Luynes's Junior Leaute slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jocelyn Lerat. That made the score 1-6 after 97 minutes of play. When the final whistle sounded Luynes left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Versailles 78.
