Nilvange's Clovis Soury proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 2nd minute of the match, managed to save Nilvange from getting a goal against them. Dan Le Roux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc-Aurèle Bricout having to interfere. Alexandre Boehler's late challenge caught a Coutronne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandre Boehler helped the player get up and apologised. When Djibril Colliot came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Coutronne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Djibril Colliot couldn't finish the play. Mehdi Pavy kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Michel Herrero didn't quite understand what happened when in the 25 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Ewan Dhont sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ewan Dhont had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Le Roux in the 35th minute of play forced Coutronne's goalkeeper Marc-Aurèle Bricout to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marc-Aurèle Bricout took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Le Roux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rayan Ternois charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rayan Ternois the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rayan Ternois hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute of the match Sébastien Houriez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Clovis Soury skillfully saved the ball.

The wind increased when Ewan Dhont made the kick off in the second half. Teddy Cabioch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the game, Dan Le Roux cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marc-Aurèle Bricout was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marc-Aurèle Bricout stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teddy Cabioch's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Coutronne's zone, Dan Le Roux stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marc-Aurèle Bricout came out of the goal and Dan Le Roux tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandre Boehler was shown his second yellow card after 66 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Alexandre Boehler hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When Henri Gourlaouen fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nilvange's protests and gave Henri Gourlaouen a yellow card for diving instead. Clovis Soury made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Djibril Colliot in the 71st minute of play. When Dan Le Roux came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Nilvange fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Le Roux couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute Ewan Dhont shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clovis Soury saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Coutronne's Marc-Aurèle Bricout got control of the ball when Dan Le Roux tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Nilvange players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
