The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Argenteuil's Charlie Gazel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andre Phelippeau in the 3rd minute of play. Charlie Gazel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dilan Chardonnet in the 4th minute of play. Blaise Balard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Billy Walker in the 9th minute of the match. Dilan Chardonnet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute Billy Walker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blaise Balard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Argenteuil's Michaël Rostaing got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th match minute, Argenteuil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ange Riant to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Ange Riant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dilan Chardonnet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alain Urbaniak's late challenge caught a Argenteuil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alain Urbaniak helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Argenteuil booed when Contes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alain Urbaniak didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Argenteuil's Jordy Guevel got a free kick in the 24th minute. Andre Phelippeau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Gazel having to interfere. Dilan Chardonnet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charlie Gazel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michaël Rostaing during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Billy Walker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argenteuil's supporters rose to their feet, but Billy Walker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blaise Balard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dilan Chardonnet made the kick off in the second half. Jean-Cyrille Juge made a great header on Argenteuil's corner, it was just that Contes's Blaise Balard managed to reach the ball for a save. If Billy Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Blaise Balard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olivier Mathon in the 60th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Dilan Chardonnet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charlie Gazel was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Contes's Blaise Balard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Contes from getting a goal against them. In the 70th minute, Andre Phelippeau made a precise shot to the right of Charlie Gazel. Argenteuil's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 77 minutes into the game, Billy Walker recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Blaise Balard. Billy Walker showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Dilan Chardonnet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd match minute, Contes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Caubet to maneuver through the defense. Olivier Mathon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaise Balard having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Contes's Andre Phelippeau nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Charlie Gazel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Dilan Chardonnet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Contes's supporters rose to their feet, but Dilan Chardonnet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charlie Gazel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Charlie Gazel came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Contes's Andre Phelippeau. But to his dismay, Andre Phelippeau quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Contes had won after a very even match.
