The supporters of FC Mulhouse booed when Pirèques was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tanguy Delauney didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierrick Samson in the 9th minute of play forced Pirèques's goalkeeper Martin Fayard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pirèques were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after FC Mulhouse's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Norbert Dalmasso took the corner. The corner led Pirèques's Norbert Dalmasso to fire away a dangerous shot which André Portes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Aymerick Bidot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but André Portes made a huge save. If Aymerick Bidot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC Mulhouse's Jérémy Janssens got a free kick in the 19th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Jérémy Janssens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Mulhouse's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pirèques the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC Mulhouse's Jérémy Janssens got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Jérémy Janssens kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 24th minute of the match Norbert Dalmasso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but André Portes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerard Fayol in the 27th minute of play forced FC Mulhouse's goalkeeper André Portes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aymerick Bidot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Portes having to interfere. A collision led to FC Mulhouse getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Mathias Gasquet hit a great ball. 37 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Pirèques's Aymerick Bidot fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 1-0 became the score in the 39th minute when Gerard Fayol elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gerard Fayol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aymerick Bidot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but André Portes made a huge save. Gerard Fayol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Portes having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jérémy Janssens to make the kick off. Davy Gagliardi kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. If Gerard Fayol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Mulhouse's goalkeeper André Portes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Pirèques's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pierrick Samson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerard Fayol in the 72nd minute of play forced FC Mulhouse's goalkeeper André Portes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Mulhouse's André Portes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aymerick Bidot in the 73rd minute of play. After 75 minutes, Pierrick Samson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Mulhouse and the Pirèques players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 76 played minutes FC Mulhouse got a freekick which was hit by Pierrick Samson. André Portes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard Fayol in the 81st minute of play. Aymerick Bidot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Portes having to interfere. Gerard Fayol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. André Portes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Portes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aymerick Bidot in the 87th minute of the match. If Aymerick Bidot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gerard Fayol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerard Fayol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Pirèques players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
