Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Olympique Lyonnais's 李烨扬 started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Olympique Lyonnais got a freekick which was hit by Marc-Antoine Jeanneau. In the 12th match minute, Cornebarrieu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Auguste Visse to maneuver through the defense. Youri Chaput who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Albertino Morais when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 李烨扬 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Salim Leprovost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salim Leprovost came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Olympique Lyonnais's 李烨扬. But to his dismay, 李烨扬 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 李烨扬 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertino Morais made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Youri Chaput sent off a good shot on target. Albertino Morais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sébastian Valles in the 29th minute of play. Youri Chaput fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Morais having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Olympique Lyonnais's goalkeeper Albertino Morais had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Auguste Visse. Johan Pesquet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salim Leprovost having to interfere. Youri Chaput recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the game, Joffrey Sallet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olympique Lyonnais's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cornebarrieu the free kick. Joffrey Sallet kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Albertino Morais made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Youri Chaput sent off a good shot on target. The Cornebarrieu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Olympique Lyonnais were winning 0-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sébastian Valles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Sébastian Valles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Albertino Morais was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With 58 minutes on the clock, Joffrey Sallet commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Olympique Lyonnais fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Cornebarrieu a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hassan Maindron, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Olympique Lyonnais's Albertino Morais. 2-2. Sébastian Valles charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sébastian Valles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cornebarrieu getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Sébastian Valles hit a great ball. Salim Leprovost didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrian Toli went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Albertino Morais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Youri Chaput in the 73rd minute of play. Albertino Morais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Youri Chaput in the 76th minute of the match. Albertino Morais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Youri Chaput, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Olympique Lyonnais's Albertino Morais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sébastian Valles in the 89th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Olympique Lyonnais got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Toli. 92 minutes into the match, Cornebarrieu's Hassan Maindron broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Albertino Morais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Youri Chaput, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olympique Lyonnais's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
