An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Noret in the 15th minute of play forced Cruet's goalkeeper Pierre-Emmanuel Galopin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Zinedine Chailloux put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Pierre-Emmanuel Galopin. Cruet's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustin Hanquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rayan Larnicol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michel Robart to make the kick off. If Yazid Detraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 52 minutes, William De Clercq mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cruet and the Avully players grew even worse after the yellow card. William De Clercq kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Avully's zone, Michel Robart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rayan Larnicol came out of the goal and Michel Robart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pierre-Emmanuel Galopin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zinedine Chailloux in the 60th minute of the match. Clem Champenois sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pierre-Emmanuel Galopin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clem Champenois in the 78th minute of play. Michel Robart's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rayan Larnicol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zinedine Chailloux in the 82nd minute of play forced Cruet's goalkeeper Pierre-Emmanuel Galopin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Avully's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Michel Robart 92 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-3. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
