Dominique Gouhier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hippolyte De Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Avully booed when Olympique de Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brice Moissonnier didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Hippolyte De Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avully's supporters rose to their feet, but Hippolyte De Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. If Hippolyte De Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Avully were the better team. Avully's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
