The crowd rose to their feet as Chanonat's Victor Gaillet slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rudy Delhomme. That made the score 2-1 after 41 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victor Gaillet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Victor Gaillet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ibrahim Baradel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Reverdy in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Chanonat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noureddine Barthez to maneuver through the defense. Cyprien Vandevelde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Rudy Delhomme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Chanonat's Victor Gaillet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rudy Delhomme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Cyprien Vandevelde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cyprien Vandevelde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudy Delhomme having to interfere. Chanonat's Antony Saux was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rudy Delhomme in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
