A wasted opportunity for Louvain. Felix Borie succeeded in the game's 6th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Felix Borie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jean-Cyrille Chevillon came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Louvain's Nicolas Normand. But to his dismay, Nicolas Normand quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Henri Gaste fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Cyrille Chevillon having to interfere. When Rodolphe Jollet came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Vesse fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolphe Jollet couldn't finish the play. Florentin Bénard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudy Callet having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Nicolas Normand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Louvain getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Augustin Boutier hit a great ball. Vesse's Raphaël Ethève couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 37th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Louvain. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vesse's goalkeeper Jean-Cyrille Chevillon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Felix Borie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
51 minutes into the match, Louvain's goal looked a bit too open when Florentin Bénard came free, but Rudy Callet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 53 minutes of play, Vesse's Florentin Bénard made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rudy Callet was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Henri Gaste in the 56th minute of play forced Vesse's goalkeeper Jean-Cyrille Chevillon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodolphe Jollet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudy Callet having to interfere. Felix Borie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Jean-Cyrille Chevillon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Vesse getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Honoré Terrasse hit a great ball. Louvain's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Andre Gautreau in the 65th minute. A nice corner shot did that Andre Gautreau got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jean-Cyrille Chevillon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 66 played minutes Vesse got a freekick which was hit by Roman Chaume. Vesse's Jean-Cyrille Chevillon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henri Gaste in the 69th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vesse's zone, Felix Borie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean-Cyrille Chevillon came out of the goal and Felix Borie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Felix Borie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jean-Cyrille Chevillon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
