Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Charles Hérisson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Caffin having to interfere. Jordan Hémon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yvan Théodore in the 8th minute of play forced Besançon's goalkeeper Arnaud Dumay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Marvin Compagnon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Biot's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Besançon the free kick. The supporters of Besançon booed when Biot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marvin Compagnon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Charles Hérisson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Besançon's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles Hérisson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mohamed Caffin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cédric Gambier in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mohamed Caffin saved Biot from getting behind. Biot's Lenny Lemaire shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 29th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Arnaud Dumay but with some difficulty. In the 43rd match minute, Biot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marvin Compagnon to maneuver through the defense.

After a defensive mix-up in Besançon's zone, Yvan Théodore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaud Dumay came out of the goal and Yvan Théodore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jordan Hémon in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnaud Dumay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 56th match minute, Besançon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Éric Cabot to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Biot's Jordan Hémon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnaud Dumay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Charles Hérisson in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mohamed Caffin saved Biot from getting behind. Besançon's Arnaud Dumay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yvan Théodore in the 62nd minute of play. If Jordan Hémon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Biot's Mohamed Caffin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Hérisson in the 69th minute of play. Cédric Gambier was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 71st minute. Besançon's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Aimé Ferro hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Eddy Lechartier from long distance, 75 minutes into the match, got Mohamed Caffin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Cédric Gambier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mohamed Caffin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Besançon's goalkeeper Arnaud Dumay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
