Yazid Guerrero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rayan Bastian might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jean-Michel Dureuil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rayan Bastian ran back to his position shaking his head. If Toufik Larrieu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 29 minutes, Rayan Bastian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avranches's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rayan Bastian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Toufik Larrieu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valleroy's supporters rose to their feet, but Toufik Larrieu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yazid Guerrero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 48 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Valleroy! Jean-Michel Dureuil had in the 50thth minute some difficulties stopping Donatien Bricout's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Rayan Bastian hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Toufik Larrieu put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Yazid Guerrero. If Toufik Larrieu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Valleroy fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Valleroy's Sammy Neuville looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 83rd minute, Rayan Bastian made a precise shot to the right of Jean-Michel Dureuil. Valleroy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. If Sammy Neuville had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Avranches getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Henri Le Fur hit a great ball. Sammy Neuville blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yazid Guerrero having to make a save. If Toufik Larrieu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Valleroy had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
