Pierre Husser kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Raymond Brien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Djimmy Barale having to interfere. When Marc-Aurèle Thoraval fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bordeaux pl's protests and gave Marc-Aurèle Thoraval a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bordeaux pl's Marc-Aurèle Thoraval got a free kick in the 19th minute. Valérien Houdart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyril Gout, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyril Gout in the 31st minute of play forced Bordeaux pl's goalkeeper Valérien Houdart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Élie Baduel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valérien Houdart made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pierre Husser in the 36th minute. Djimmy Barale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marc-Aurèle Thoraval's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. A collision led to Olympique Plaisirois getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Xavier Morelle hit a great ball. Raymond Brien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half Bordeaux pl were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

54 minutes into the game, Modeste Vinel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bordeaux pl's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olympique Plaisirois the free kick. After 54 played minutes Bordeaux pl got a freekick which was hit by Modeste Vinel. If Cyril Gout had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Djimmy Barale made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Raymond Brien sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Djimmy Barale managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Bordeaux pl's Raymond Brien fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 73rd minute, Xavier Morelle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Bordeaux pl getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Samy Ploquin hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the match, Olympique Plaisirois's Cyril Gout sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valérien Houdart narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 94 minutes of play Bordeaux pl's Modeste Vinel was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 95 played minutes Bordeaux pl got a freekick which was hit by Modeste Vinel. The Bordeaux pl players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
