The audience thought a goal was coming when Rayanne Jorand got free with Roger Gounon in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ernest Boulic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Gounon having to interfere. After 18 minutes, Louison Lachevre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clarence and the Champvallins players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Clarence was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louison Lachevre to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Sacha Diarra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Clarence booed when Champvallins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sébastian Berthelon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurélien Onfroy kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute of the match Bernard Guezennec shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Djimmy Hémery showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Johan Augier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Clarence's goalkeeper Roger Gounon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rayanne Jorand. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sacha Diarra in the 32nd minute of play forced Champvallins's goalkeeper Djimmy Hémery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Augier in the 33rd minute of play forced Champvallins's goalkeeper Djimmy Hémery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Djimmy Hémery came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Clarence's Johan Augier. But to his dismay, Johan Augier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Johan Augier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Djimmy Hémery was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. If Ernest Boulic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernest Boulic stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Champvallins got a freekick which was hit by Rachid Josserand. Sacha Diarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Frederic Lhermite fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clarence's protests and gave Frederic Lhermite a yellow card for diving instead. Frederic Lhermite hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Rayanne Jorand succeeded in the game's 59th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Ernest Boulic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Roger Gounon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roger Gounon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rayanne Jorand in the 70th minute of the match. Johan Augier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Djimmy Hémery having to interfere. After some careless play in the Clarence defense, Ernest Boulic kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roger Gounon. The Clarence fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roger Gounon should have stopped the shot. 88 minutes into the game, Ramzi Manzoni was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Champvallins's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clarence the free kick. In the 88th match minute, Champvallins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramzi Manzoni to maneuver through the defense. Frederic Lhermite recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 98 in the game by Sacha Diarra from a close distance when the talented Djimmy Hémery managed to make a qualified save. Champvallins's players were relieved. Champvallins's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
