After 3 minutes, Marius Touret mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Balma and the Nice MB players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd minute, one of Balma:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Balma. The referee gave Nice MB a penalty, 5 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gérard Ferro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Balma's Malik Lemonnier. 0-1. Omar Canton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Enzo Crochard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sidney Michard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Theo Verger made a huge save. 20 minutes into the match, Nice MB's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Crochard came free, but Theo Verger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Omar Canton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balma's supporters rose to their feet, but Omar Canton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Theo Verger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. From close distance Sidney Michard pressed in the 1-1 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 26 minutes into the game. Nice MB's Theo Verger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enzo Crochard in the 38th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Cheikh Boix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nice MB's goalkeeper Theo Verger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adil Bache to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Balma's Sidney Michard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Theo Verger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Malik Lemonnier had great luck who in the 72ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Adil Bache from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Pierrick Feller charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Balma's supporters rose to their feet, but Enzo Crochard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Theo Verger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Theo Verger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enzo Crochard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Nice MB booed when Balma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Canton didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Nice MB players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
