Aime Debarge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugene Bourgeat, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 24 minutes of play, Grave's Adam Dunoyer made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lilian Walter was left in no man's land by his defense there! One of Grave:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Montpel:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugene Bourgeat in the 67th minute of play forced Grave's goalkeeper Aime Debarge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Montpel's Jean-Philippe Girod nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andre Delavault got free with Lilian Walter in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugene Bourgeat in the 99th minute of play forced Grave's goalkeeper Aime Debarge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Montpel walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
