Corbas's Alix Depuydt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Djimmy Droin in the 14th minute of play. Alix Depuydt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Marc Herr in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute of the match, Jean-Marc Herr tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alix Depuydt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alix Depuydt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Djimmy Droin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 played minutes Corbas got a freekick which was hit by Florian Allain. With a little luck, Corbas's Alix Depuydt got control of the ball when Kader Courtier tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Chelle during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Johnny Gaudin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 30th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Velotte's Alix Depuydt threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jean-Marc Herr, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Raoul Grossi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Alix Depuydt made a huge save. In the 34th minute, Velotte's Jean-Marc Herr ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alix Depuydt. Alix Depuydt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Alix Depuydt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Marc Herr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Djimmy Droin couldn't finish the play. 48 minutes into the match, Corbas's goal looked a bit too open when Djimmy Droin came free, but Alix Depuydt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Djimmy Droin made a kick off. Alix Depuydt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kader Courtier in the 73rd minute of the match. Velotte's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
