Charles Butin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabin Saint-Marc, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Merls Town's Charles Butin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabin Saint-Marc in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Merls Town's goalkeeper Charles Butin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilles Barot. Samuel Ziegler shot from long distance in the 28th minute, but Charles Butin was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Anthony Laporte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacques Meurant in the 45th minute of play. Gilles Barot scored 3-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charles Butin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabin Saint-Marc stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the game, Auby's Gilles Barot nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Charles Butin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Gilles Barot scored 5-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charles Butin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 67th minute, Gabin Saint-Marc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Auby fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. 69 minutes into the match, Merls Town's goal looked a bit too open when Gabin Saint-Marc came free, but Charles Butin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Jacques Meurant dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Anthony Laporte, 6-1. Merls Town's Charles Butin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilles Barot in the 77th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gilles Barot's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charles Butin was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 81st minute, Merls Town's Jacques Meurant ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Anthony Laporte.
