Mafuba FC's Jolan Borgès shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 20th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Gilbert Gousset but with some difficulty. Gilbert Gousset showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malcom Ponthieux in the 22nd minute of the match. Malcom Ponthieux could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Gilbert Gousset made a huge save. If Jonas Tastet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th match minute, Gabacho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donovan Tournay to maneuver through the defense. Malcom Ponthieux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonas Tastet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Gilbert Gousset made a huge save. Gabacho FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Malcom Ponthieux scored to the left of an out of position Gilbert Gousset, making the score, 1-0. 47 minutes into the game, Rémy Falcon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mafuba FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gabacho FC the free kick. Rémy Falcon hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Malcom Ponthieux was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malcom Ponthieux in the 58th minute of play forced Gabacho FC's goalkeeper Gilbert Gousset to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Gabacho FC's Marc-Antoine Desmarest got a free kick in the 60th minute. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by John Deal got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Malcom Ponthieux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilbert Gousset showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rémy Falcon in the 75th minute of the match. Jonas Tastet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Gousset having to interfere. Malcom Ponthieux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Gilbert Gousset tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Jonas Tastet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mafuba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Tastet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilbert Gousset breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Malcom Ponthieux came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Mafuba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Malcom Ponthieux couldn't finish the play. Mafuba FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
