Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Toufik Bodereau started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Cessenaz's zone, Jean-Philippe Roig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Le Ny came out of the goal and Jean-Philippe Roig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodrigo Le Ny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toufik Bodereau, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 12th minute, Jean-Philippe Roig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Cessenaz's goal looked a bit too open when Toufik Bodereau came free, but Rodrigo Le Ny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Roland Broche fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cessenaz's protests and gave Roland Broche a yellow card for diving instead. Roland Broche hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Toufik Bodereau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Jean-Philippe Roig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thise's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean-Philippe Roig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodrigo Le Ny breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodrigo Le Ny stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toufik Bodereau's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Rodrigo Le Ny made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Jean-Philippe Roig sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Cessenaz getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Roland Broche hit a great ball. Claude Pallas, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Jack Argaud managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cessenaz's supporters rose to their feet, but Jack Argaud was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bertrand Hugonnet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 40 minutes into the match, Thise's goal looked a bit too open when Gilles Jean came free, but Bertrand Hugonnet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Jean-Philippe Roig had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yann Salingue during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 46 minutes into the match, Thise's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Argaud came free, but Bertrand Hugonnet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Gilles Jean notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Thise's Bertrand Hugonnet. Bertrand Hugonnet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Jack Argaud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertrand Hugonnet having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Gilles Jean fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A hard shot 62 in the game by Gilles Jean from a close distance when the talented Bertrand Hugonnet managed to make a qualified save. Thise's players were relieved. After having played for 64 minutes, Toufik Bodereau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thise's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toufik Bodereau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thise's Bertrand Hugonnet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Argaud in the 67th minute of play. Rodrigo Le Ny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Fossey in the 69th minute of the match. Toufik Bodereau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Le Ny having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cessenaz's zone, Sébastien Liberge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Le Ny came out of the goal and Sébastien Liberge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the match, Toufik Bodereau had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodrigo Le Ny. Cessenaz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Toufik Bodereau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cessenaz fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! Claude Pallas walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Toufik Bodereau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Roland Broche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Toufik Bodereau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Toufik Bodereau came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Thise fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toufik Bodereau couldn't finish the play. Rodrigo Le Ny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toufik Bodereau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
