Christian Rousselot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Franklin Courcier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Rousselot having to interfere. Franklin Courcier in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Christian Rousselot, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 26th minute, Davy Pol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Rousselot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Émile Ansart in the 30th minute of the match. When Émile Ansart got free in front of the goal in the 35th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Christian Rousselot was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 37 minutes into the game, Émile Ansart recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Christian Rousselot. Émile Ansart showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Christian Rousselot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Franklin Courcier in the 45th minute. Christian Rousselot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Émile Ansart, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Émile Ansart made a kick off. Dominique Bares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mustapha Bleuze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Dominique Bares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dominique Bares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustapha Bleuze, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Jean-Philippe Parizot charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
