Karl Lequesne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Redouane Martini made a huge save. Freddy Sarron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mehdi Fauvet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Greg Harnois received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Redouane Martini came out and tried to block the shot, but Greg Harnois slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 21st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Greg Harnois managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reiningue's supporters rose to their feet, but Greg Harnois was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Redouane Martini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 26 minutes, Madjid Grangier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Douard and the Reiningue players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Douard's Madjid Grangier got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 31st minute, Karl Lequesne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Greg Harnois to make the kick off. Redouane Martini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Greg Harnois, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 72 minutes, Lamine Carrier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Reiningue and the Douard players grew even worse after the yellow card. Douard's Redouane Martini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Lequesne in the 76th minute of play. Reiningue's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl Lequesne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Freddy Sarron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mehdi Fauvet got free with Clem Échard in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Reiningue fans cheered their team off the field, for while Douard had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
