After a defensive mix-up in Nangy's zone, Salim Dantan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bart Rohr came out of the goal and Salim Dantan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Goussainville's Dove Olier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omer Leboucher in the 19th minute of play. Nangy's Omer Leboucher got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dove Olier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Labitte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th match minute, Goussainville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc-Antoine Bayart to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Salim Dantan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Goussainville's Dove Olier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Labitte in the 35th minute of play. Salim Dantan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bart Rohr having to make a save. Luc Brucker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dave Labitte made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mamadou Liard during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Nangy's Mamadou Liard got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 58 minutes into the game, Goussainville's Luc Brucker nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salim Dantan in the 80th minute of play forced Nangy's goalkeeper Bart Rohr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Salim Dantan in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bart Rohr prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
