Bruno Seigle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrick Leboeuf read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Comunardo Gaudino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Bruno Seigle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Comunardo Gaudino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Leboeuf having to interfere. Edmond Berg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Leboeuf having to interfere. Patrick Leboeuf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Seigle, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Bruno Seigle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Patrick Leboeuf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, Vigen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaetan Catillon to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Vigen's goal looked a bit too open when Edmond Berg came free, but Patrick Leboeuf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vigen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The corner ended in Barnabe Suire almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vigen's Patrick Leboeuf did a great save. In the 42nd minute, Comunardo Gaudino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manuel Wittmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Etienne Dubroca made a huge save. Vigen's Manuel Wittmann came free and shot a quick shot against goal 48 minutes in the game, fortunately Etienne Dubroca had problems saving as it came toward the left post.
Comunardo Gaudino took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patrick Leboeuf. Patrick Leboeuf dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With 62 minutes on the clock, Faudel Tiberghien commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 62nd minute, one of Miribel:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Miribel. Manuel Wittmann scored 2-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Etienne Dubroca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 76 minutes into the match, Miribel's Comunardo Gaudino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Patrick Leboeuf narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Comunardo Gaudino got free with Patrick Leboeuf in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antoine Gautron hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Comunardo Gaudino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. In the 95th minute Gildas Picavet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Etienne Dubroca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Vigen booed when Miribel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antoine Gautron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Etienne Dubroca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillaume Auneau in the 100th minute of play.
