The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. New Delhi Hobos's Jean-Marie Guionnet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guy Grivel in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of Gabaron booed when New Delhi Hobos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xavier Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guy Grivel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Marie Guionnet having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Gilles Alary managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gabaron's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilles Alary was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guy Grivel in the 22nd minute of play forced New Delhi Hobos's goalkeeper Jean-Marie Guionnet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of New Delhi Hobos booed when Gabaron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bacary Agneray didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabaron's Mourad Denos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Mathe in the 25th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gabaron's Evan Barrault got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 31st match minute, New Delhi Hobos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorian Berthod to maneuver through the defense. Jean-Marie Guionnet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guy Grivel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Guy Grivel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jean-Marie Guionnet was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Jean-Marie Guionnet came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Gabaron's Guy Grivel. But to his dismay, Guy Grivel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Guy Grivel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the game, Gabaron's Bacary Agneray nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jean-Marie Guionnet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Johnny Mathe made a kick off. Gilles Alary received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jean-Marie Guionnet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilles Alary sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Gilles Alary made a precise shot to the right of Jean-Marie Guionnet. New Delhi Hobos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After 73 played minutes, New Delhi Hobos's Jean-Yves Vachon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mourad Denos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in New Delhi Hobos reached it. Gilles Alary fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Marie Guionnet having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Gilles Alary could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Jean-Marie Guionnet however easily saved by the left post. 84 minutes into the game, New Delhi Hobos's Johnny Mathe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mourad Denos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. If Daryl Artaud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 92 minutes, Dorian Berthod mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New Delhi Hobos and the Gabaron players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Guy Grivel came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Gabaron fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guy Grivel couldn't finish the play. Johnny Mathe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mourad Denos having to interfere. Bacary Agneray kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. Gabaron played a much better game than New Delhi Hobos and deserved their victory. The New Delhi Hobos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
