With his leg Yves Jousselin managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Pibrac's Boris Dubart fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bruce Houles kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Modeste Sanchis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vivien Saule struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Yves Jousselin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pibrac. If Modeste Sanchis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boris Dubarts short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Yves Jousselin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Boris Dubart's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Yves Jousselin firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 23rd minute, Modeste Sanchis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Modeste Sanchis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pau FC's Yves Jousselin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivien Saule in the 30th minute of play. Daniel Claus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruce Houles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jack Anne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pau FC's Bruce Houles got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Vivien Saule made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Bruce Houles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pau FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pibrac the free kick. The supporters of Pibrac booed when Pau FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruce Houles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vivien Saule sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Boris Dubart's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yves Jousselin was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Vivien Saule blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yves Jousselin having to make a save. Daniel Claus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruce Houles in the 84th minute of play. Pau FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Samuel De Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pau FC's Bruce Houles got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pau FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Pibrac to leave the ground with a draw.
