Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ilan Molinie was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Rennes booed when FC Cadaujac was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Isnard didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilan Molinie in the 56th minute of play forced FC Cadaujac's goalkeeper Margus Reinumägi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christopher Hervouet took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joey Boissonnade. Rennes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 79th minute Ilan Molinie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Margus Reinumägi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 minutes FC Cadaujac's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jean-Paul Cordeau who took care of the corner kick. Rennes's Jean-Paul Cordeau was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Margus Reinumägi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rennes's Joey Boissonnade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Isnard in the 88th minute of play. Theophile Parot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Margus Reinumägi made a huge save. In the 92nd minute, Simon Isnard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sam Delouche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joey Boissonnade having to interfere. When the final whistle went the supporters of Rennes were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant FC Cadaujac side.
