When Tony Bouchaud fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Hakim Dumain acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 33rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Dilan Hautecoeur. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Rodolphe Caspar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garons's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodolphe Caspar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hakim Dumain breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Nolan Auge came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the LYONSARAY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nolan Auge couldn't finish the play. After 42 played minutes Garons got a freekick which was hit by Maximilien Breil. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Garons reached it. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind LYONSARAY's goalkeeper Hakim Dumain, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolphe Caspar in the 92nd minute of play forced LYONSARAY's goalkeeper Hakim Dumain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rachid Baert kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The LYONSARAY players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
