Junior Goulet might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bart Chirat. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Junior Goulet ran back to his position shaking his head. Junior Goulet struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Bart Chirat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montville. Montevrain's Bart Chirat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Junior Ménoret in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Montevrain's zone, Junior Goulet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bart Chirat came out of the goal and Junior Goulet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Montville's Romaric Vila got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 27 minutes, Junior Ménoret made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Montevrain's Bart Chirat tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 30 minutes, Germain Recher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montevrain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Germain Recher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Montville's Junior Ménoret got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Junior Ménoret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Romaric Vila fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montville's protests and gave Romaric Vila a yellow card for diving instead. After 38 played minutes Montville got a freekick which was hit by Romaric Vila. An unexpectedly hard shot by Junior Ménoret in the 53rd minute of play forced Montevrain's goalkeeper Bart Chirat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Bart Chirat managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Montville's Junior Goulet fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bart Chirat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Junior Ménoret in the 58th minute of play. Junior Goulet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Bart Chirat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 minutes, Thierry Ramage mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montevrain and the Montville players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 63 played minutes Montevrain got a freekick which was hit by Thierry Ramage. Bart Chirat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Junior Ménoret, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Junior Goulet's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Bart Chirat skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Junior Ménoret in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bart Chirat saved Montevrain from getting behind. If Junior Goulet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Junior Ménoret was extremely unlucky when he, in the 73rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Junior Ménoret in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bart Chirat prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 75 minutes into the game, Aziz Auer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montevrain's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montville the free kick. After a rather tough play, Montevrain's Aziz Auer got a free kick in the 75th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Montevrain's goalkeeper Bart Chirat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Junior Goulet. Montville's Junior Goulet got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Junior Ménoret came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Montville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Junior Ménoret couldn't finish the play. 94 minutes into the match, Montevrain's goal looked a bit too open when Romaric Vila came free, but Bart Chirat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Montville walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
