After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Junior Goulet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montville's supporters rose to their feet, but Junior Goulet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francis Bey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Louvil's Francis Bey got control of the ball when Junior Goulet tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Montville players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Louvil were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Justin Attard to make the kick off. Junior Ménoret received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Francis Bey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Louvil's Francis Bey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Junior Goulet in the 68th minute of play. Bernard Gary hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. If Junior Goulet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Montville getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Junior Ménoret hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute Justin Attard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Lasserre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
