Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ronald Compere started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Alain Cado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romeo Ropers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute, Ronald Compere ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robin Lartigau was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ronald Compere recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Ronald Compere managed to get in a good position for a shot. Martinsart's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronald Compere was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robin Lartigau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 16 played minutes Verrière got a freekick which was hit by Frederic Galli. Romeo Ropers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Michel Maier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michel Maier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alain Cado in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Verrière booed when Martinsart was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Fournel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Verrière's Romeo Ropers got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Verrière's Walter Gallou got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 26 played minutes, Martinsart's William Chable shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Robin Lartigau came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Martinsart reached it. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Verrière's Alain Cado in the 28th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Michel Maier was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Martinsart through an amazing save. Romeo Ropers might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michel Maier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romeo Ropers ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 33rd minute, Hector Daguenet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Martinsart fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 37 minutes into the match, Verrière's goal looked a bit too open when Ronald Compere came free, but Robin Lartigau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Verrière getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Cyril Faivre hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alain Cado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alain Cado in the 58th minute of play forced Martinsart's goalkeeper Michel Maier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hector Daguenet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romeo Ropers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Maier having to interfere. Michel Maier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alain Cado, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. When Romeo Ropers came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Verrière fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeo Ropers couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Verrière's Robin Lartigau got control of the ball when Hector Daguenet tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hector Daguenet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Ronald Compere managed to get in a good position for a shot. Robin Lartigau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronald Compere, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Martinsart walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
