The tension between the Argent and the Dourges players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd match minute, Argent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mounir Rios to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Argent's zone, Noe Rey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Merlin Delfour came out of the goal and Noe Rey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute, Noe Rey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Merlin Delfour was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Merlin Delfour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noe Rey in the 63rd minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, Yazid Ancel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Argent's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dourges the free kick. Noe Rey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Merlin Delfour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Merlin Delfour showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noe Rey in the 72nd minute of the match. Dylan Pénel's late challenge caught a Dourges's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
