Grignon's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rudy Manche ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Houppeville's Steevy Racine got a free kick in the 16th minute. Grignon's Mounir Delettre got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maurice Héry struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Prosper Lhoste didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Houppeville. Houppeville's Armand Tichit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mounir Delettre in the 25th minute of play. Kilian Baillard charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kilian Baillard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes Grignon got a freekick which was hit by Kilian Baillard. Prosper Lhoste took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Heurtaux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lenny Raux hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Armand Tichit didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 42nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Houppeville's zone, Mounir Delettre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armand Tichit came out of the goal and Mounir Delettre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After having played for 53 minutes, Robin Heurtaux managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Houppeville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robin Heurtaux was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Grignon getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Morgan Bravard hit a great ball. Prosper Lhoste made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Heurtaux in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Kilian Baillard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mounir Delettre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Armand Tichit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mounir Delettre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. Houppeville's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Houppeville players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Grignon from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
