Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Marck's Pierre-Henri Thimonier started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sacha Scheffer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre-Henri Thimonier in the 4th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justin Tricard in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sacha Scheffer saved Briey from getting behind. Justin Tricard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sacha Scheffer having to interfere. In the 7th match minute, Briey was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Youri Gomez to maneuver through the defense. When Pierre-Henri Thimonier came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Marck fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pierre-Henri Thimonier couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Briey's zone, Justin Tricard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sacha Scheffer came out of the goal and Justin Tricard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute, one of Briey:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Briey. Briey's Tony Fricot has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 16th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Marin Schuh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Briey's supporters rose to their feet, but Marin Schuh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jason Delaire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karim Belliard during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 20 played minutes Marck got a freekick which was hit by Karim Belliard. Sacha Scheffer came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Marck's Pierre-Henri Thimonier. But to his dismay, Pierre-Henri Thimonier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Pierre-Henri Thimonier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Sacha Scheffer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Justin Tricard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Justin Tricard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sacha Scheffer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half Marck were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Johnny Alex made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Marck's goal looked a bit too open when Marin Schuh came free, but Jason Delaire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute, Youri Gomez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Fricot's late challenge caught a Marck's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tony Fricot helped the player get up and apologised. Jason Delaire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Schuh in the 63rd minute of play. Sacha Scheffer made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Justin Tricard sent off a good shot on target. If Johnny Alex had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marin Schuh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason Delaire having to interfere. Jason Delaire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Alex, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Briey's zone, Justin Tricard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sacha Scheffer came out of the goal and Justin Tricard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Johnny Alex had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marin Schuh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Briey supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Marck's performance. The match ended with a win for Marck.
