Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Marcel Baly made the kick off and thus started the match. After having played for 5 minutes, Gerald Tourneur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quennaumont's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerald Tourneur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bertrand Bluteau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renan Perus in the 7th minute of the match. Gerald Tourneur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Bertrand Bluteau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renan Perus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Metz's goal looked a bit too open when Renan Perus came free, but Bertrand Bluteau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quennaumont's Alix Gautheron couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Metz. The audience was convinced that Renan Perus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bertrand Bluteau was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Mathias Froissart charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mathias Froissart the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th match minute, Metz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Froissart to maneuver through the defense. If Armand Michelon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Metz's Marcel Baly got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Quennaumont's Charles Marimoutou got control of the ball when Armand Michelon tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Metz players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Quennaumont were winning 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Renan Perus to strike the kick off in the second half. Bertrand Bluteau was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Renan Perus capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Renan Perus really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Armand Michelon struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Charles Marimoutou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Metz. Philibert Ramage's late challenge caught a Metz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
