The audience was convinced that Fabrice Abelard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samy Gelas was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Milly's Samy Gelas threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fabrice Abelard, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 13 minutes, Georges Guillon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villabé and the Milly players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th minute, Mario Gilquin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 18 minutes, Theodore Mayot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villabé's supporters crossed their fingers, but Theodore Mayot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Malik Moutarde fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Milly's protests and gave Malik Moutarde a yellow card for diving instead. 26 minutes into the match, Villabé's goalkeeper Samy Gelas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabrice Abelard. 30 minutes into the game, one of Milly:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to Milly getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Malik Moutarde hit a great ball. 59 minutes in the game, Jean-Marie Vargas dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Samuel Miller kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Raoul Royere was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 66th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 76th minute, Milly's Loic Noyelle seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Loic Noyelle the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Milly protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Loic Noyelle had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 82nd minute, Jean-Marie Vargas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Milly's Sacha Guyonvarch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Milly from getting a goal against them. Theodore Mayot's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sacha Guyonvarch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Theodore Mayot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sacha Guyonvarch having to interfere. Milly's Mario Gilquin got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Villabé supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Villabé would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
