If Remi Mulard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 8 minutes, Louis Teston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vernhole's supporters crossed their fingers, but Louis Teston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute Remi Mulard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronald Ryckebusch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Denis Bourdier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Romainville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vernhole the free kick. The supporters of Vernhole booed when Romainville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Bourdier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Omer James received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Fabian Resse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 21 minutes, Marius Pénaud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fabian Resse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omer James in the 30th minute of the match. When Denis Bourdier was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 34 minutes had been played. After recieving a nice pass, Vernhole's Fernand Conde tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Remi Mulard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Ronald Ryckebusch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 43 minutes, Fernand Conde mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vernhole and the Romainville players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fernand Conde kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Remi Mulard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Ryckebusch having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The supporters of Romainville booed when Vernhole was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Morgan Colonna didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Louis Teston made a precise shot to the right of Ronald Ryckebusch. Romainville's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0.
