Éloi Roussel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joël Fuzeau in the 7th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Fernand Rapicault managed to get in a good position for a shot. Longueau's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernand Rapicault was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Éloi Roussel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Longueau's Joël Fuzeau got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 16 minutes, Ernest Perennes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bénifontaine's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernest Perennes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ernest Perennes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Florian Bory tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Longueau's goalkeeper Florian Bory, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Henri Deman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 35 minutes, Ernest Perennes made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Longueau's Florian Bory tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thierry Delhommeau took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florian Bory. Florian Bory dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.

In the 64th minute Youssef Willem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Bory saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Bénifontaine's zone, Fernand Rapicault stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Éloi Roussel came out of the goal and Fernand Rapicault tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pierre-Olivier Mathey kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Fernand Rapicault sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernand Rapicault scored 2-2 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Éloi Roussel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernest Perennes in the 75th minute of play forced Longueau's goalkeeper Florian Bory to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Bénifontaine's Ernest Perennes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Florian Bory. Florian Bory yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Ernest Perennes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Bénifontaine supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bénifontaine would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
