Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Timothé Rouvrais took the kick off in the first half of the match. Mohamed Engrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Geoffrey Giacometti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geoffrey Giacometti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre-Emmanuel Beaupere in the 18th minute of play. Désiré Miller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute of the match, Désiré Miller got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hakim Laborie was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 25 minutes into the match, Désiré Miller had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hakim Laborie. Knutange's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Désiré Miller was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Geoffrey Giacometti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre-Emmanuel Beaupere in the 32nd minute of the match. 38 minutes into the game, Mohamed Engrand was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Knutange's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pompignat the free kick. The supporters of Pompignat booed when Knutange was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohamed Engrand didn't get a good kick on the ball. Désiré Miller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geoffrey Giacometti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre-Emmanuel Beaupere, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Désiré Miller might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hakim Laborie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Désiré Miller ran back to his position shaking his head. Jocelyn Lambolez kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mohamed Engrand stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Knutange's Mohamed Engrand in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pompignat's goalie prevented a goal. Mohamed Engrand recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Pompignat's Timothé Rouvrais sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hakim Laborie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Timothé Rouvrais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Hakim Laborie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geoffrey Giacometti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pierre-Emmanuel Beaupere in the 77th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Désiré Miller in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hakim Laborie saved Knutange from getting behind. Désiré Miller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Knutange's Hakim Laborie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timothé Rouvrais in the 85th minute of play. If Mohamed Engrand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pierre-Emmanuel Beaupere fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geoffrey Giacometti having to interfere. After having played for 94 minutes, Mohamed Engrand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knutange's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohamed Engrand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
