Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Philippe Gouzien got the match started through his kick off. Philippe Gouzien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Hakim Laborie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Knutange getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Gérard Simeon hit a great ball. Theophile Fayard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakim Laborie having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Mohamed Engrand managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knutange's supporters rose to their feet, but Mohamed Engrand was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willy Dabin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gérard Simeon hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Knutange's Hakim Laborie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Philippe Gouzien in the 24th minute of play. Pierre-Emmanuel Beaupere recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Mohamed Engrand kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Willy Dabin. That made the score 1-0 in the 30 minute of play. A collision led to Knutange getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Pierre-Emmanuel Beaupere hit a great ball. Theophile Fayard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Hakim Laborie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gérard Simeon hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mohamed Engrand to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match Charles Catelain sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Willy Dabin skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Knutange booed when Englos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronald Alaux didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 63 played minutes Knutange got a freekick which was hit by Gérard Simeon. Philippe Gouzien's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hakim Laborie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Hakim Laborie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philippe Gouzien in the 76th minute of play. Dominique Barnier kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 79thth minute of the game Pierre-Emmanuel Beaupere who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Englos's Willy Dabin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 87th minute Pierre-Emmanuel Beaupere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willy Dabin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mohamed Engrand blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Willy Dabin having to make a save. Theophile Fayard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakim Laborie having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Englos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Knutange.
