After having played for 6 minutes, Fabien Darbon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mont's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabien Darbon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Constantin Gaze kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Fabien Darbon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Florian Vallet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Mont's Malik Fargues nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florian Vallet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Fabien Darbon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malik Fargues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Vallet having to interfere. If Merlin Pouillard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabien Darbon struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Florian Vallet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mont. Florian Vallet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malik Fargues, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Merlin Pouillard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martial Jenny having to interfere. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Merlin Pouillard sped through Mont's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Martial Jenny. In the 45th minute of the match Pascal Lanoy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Florian Vallet skillfully saved the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Malik Fargues to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Thierry Janot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Malik Fargues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pascal Lanoy during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 minutes of play, Chaponost's Thierry Janot made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martial Jenny was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Chaponost getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Aymerick Chardon hit a great ball. Merlin Pouillard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martial Jenny having to interfere.
