Donatien Michelot's late challenge caught a Chapelle's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donatien Michelot helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st match minute, Villepreux was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donatien Michelot to maneuver through the defense. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Noe Le Bars to make the kick off. Chapelle's Daryl Gayot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Yves Jammet in the 52nd minute of play. In the 59th minute, Jean-Michel Henaff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Noe Le Bars received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Lamine Chailloux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Jean-Yves Jammet reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Daryl Gayot. The goal made the score 0-2. Theo Baudot hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Gaspard Dumartin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Villepreux fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The Villepreux players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
