Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pierre-Henri Rollin kicked off to start the match. Marcel Michoux made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Marius Dalleau sent off a good shot on target. Donald Roland hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Germain Ruel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francis Briançon having to interfere. In the 17thth minute of the game Charles-Henri Becquart who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Linas's Francis Briançon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bixente Collot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francis Briançon having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre-Henri Rollin in the 22nd minute of play forced Vernet's goalkeeper Marcel Michoux to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Germain Ruel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Linas's Francis Briançon. Francis Briançon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 29 minutes into the game, Pierre-Henri Rollin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcel Michoux. Pierre-Henri Rollin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The audience was convinced that Charles-Henri Becquart's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francis Briançon was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 37th minute, Pierre-Henri Rollin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcel Michoux. The goal made the score 2-1. Francis Briançon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bixente Collot in the 46th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Charles-Henri Becquart to make the kick off. Pierre-Henri Rollin scored 3-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcel Michoux, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles-Henri Becquart in the 70th minute of play forced Linas's goalkeeper Francis Briançon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Freyermuth took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Francis Briançon. Linas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Germain Ruel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francis Briançon having to interfere. Marcel Michoux made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marius Dalleau in the 78th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charles-Henri Becquart in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francis Briançon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Linas's Donald Roland got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Charles-Henri Becquart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Francis Briançon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Linas booed when Vernet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Germain Ruel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute Marius Dalleau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Michoux saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danny Tomasi charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danny Tomasi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Linas getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Danny Tomasi hit a great ball. Vernet were furious when Michael Freyermuth was red carded, 96 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 96 minutes into the game, one of Vernet:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
