Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bixente Monin started the match with the kick off. Bernard Reant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jocelyn Bluteau having to interfere. In the 8th minute Emile Pelat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Coat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thierry Latrille kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mouvaux's goalkeeper Jocelyn Bluteau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Courçay's Felix Coat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emile Pelat in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Mouvaux's Marc Cagnon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felix Coat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emile Pelat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Emile Pelat left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mouvaux fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 30th minute, Mouvaux's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bixente Monin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 35th minute Bixente Monin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jocelyn Bluteau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marc Cagnon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Courçay's goalkeeper Felix Coat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Courçay fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
When Bixente Monin came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Courçay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bixente Monin couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Mouvaux's zone, Bernard Reant stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jocelyn Bluteau came out of the goal and Bernard Reant tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Marc Cagnon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute Emile Pelat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Coat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Mouvaux booed when Courçay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dilan Colomb didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Courçay's goalkeeper Felix Coat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marc Cagnon. Tommy Vanesse charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tommy Vanesse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 74 played minutes Courçay got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Vanesse. Marc Cagnon in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Felix Coat, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 79th minute, Dilan Colomb got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Courçay's Victorien Zimmer got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Emile Pelat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes in the game, Emile Pelat fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Felix Coat having to interfere. In the 90th minute, one of Mouvaux:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mouvaux. In the 92nd minute there was a penalty for Courçay. Salomon Dion stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jocelyn Bluteau. 1-2. Salomon Dion took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jocelyn Bluteau. Mouvaux's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
